This premium coneflower variety stands out with lime-green petals that mature into warm yellow near the cone, creating a unique two-tone effect that feels bright, clean, and modern. Bred for exceptional performance, KISMET® Kiwi starts flowering earlier than standard coneflowers and continues straight into fall—bringing color, movement, and life to pollinator gardens for months.
Perfect for containers, small-space gardens, cottage borders, or front-of-bed accents, its tidy shape and strong stems make it both landscape-worthy and excellent for cut flowers. Once established, it thrives in heat, humidity, and drought, making it a reliable performer in tough summer conditions.
Care
KISMET® Kiwi Coneflower Care
Plant in full sun for best flowering and sturdy stems. Echinacea prefers hot, bright conditions and will underperform in shade or wet soil.
Soil should be well-drained. It tolerates poor or rocky soils but should not be kept constantly wet. Avoid heavy clay or areas prone to standing water.
Water regularly during the first season to establish roots. Once established, KISMET® Kiwi becomes drought-tolerant and very low-maintenance.
For an optional boost, apply a slow release fertilizer in spring to encourage abundant flowering.
Deadhead to extend the bloom season, or leave spent flower heads up in autumn—they provide winter interest and natural seed for songbirds.
