Because live plants are perishable and may carry pests or diseases, Almanac Planting Co does not accept returns on any live plants. Orders for live plant products may be cancelled prior to shipment; however, a restocking fee of up to 30% may apply depending on where the order is in the fulfillment process.
Handmade wreaths are non-returnable and cannot be cancelled once production has begun. Soil, fertilizer, and potting mixes are also non-returnable. Unworn and unused apparel or accessories may be returned within 30 days of purchase, with the customer responsible for return shipping costs.
Shipping costs on the original order are non-refundable.
Live plants that arrive with major damage or appear non-viable may be eligible for replacement under our Grow Happyâ„¢ Healthy Arrival Guarantee. Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
To submit a Healthy Arrival claim, customers must contact us with their order number, clear photos of the plant and packaging, and a brief description of the issue. We will review each claim and determine eligibility based on the Grow Happyâ„¢ Healthy Arrival Guarantee.
If the issue is determined to be the result of a packing or quality error on our end (such as the wrong plant being shipped or a compromised plant packed in error), we will replace the plant at no cost, including free shipping on the replacement.
If the damage appears to be carrier-related — including crushing, impact, mishandling, or transit delays — replacement plants may still be provided, with the customer responsible for the cost of shipping on the replacement.
Minor cosmetic issues such as a few bent or yellowing leaves, light soil disturbance, or small blemishes are normal during shipping and do not qualify for replacement.
This section applies to Healthy Arrival claims only. Extended Guarantee coverage, when included with a plant, follows separate terms outlined on our Grow Happyâ„¢ Plant Guarantee page .
When an eligible perennial, shrub, or tree includes a Grow Happyâ„¢ Extended Guarantee, approved claims are fulfilled with replacement plants only. Extended Guarantee claims do not qualify for refunds or credits.
Replacement terms, eligibility requirements, and customer responsibilities — including any required replacement contribution and shipping costs — are defined exclusively by the Grow Happy™ Plant Guarantee policy.
For non-plant products only, Almanac Planting Co is not responsible for packages lost or damaged during shipping. In some cases, non-plant items may be eligible for carrier insurance claims through USPS, UPS, or FedEx, depending on the shipping service selected.
Almanac Planting Co does not initiate or manage carrier insurance claims on behalf of customers.
We are not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after confirmed delivery.
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us promptly if you receive the wrong item or believe an item arrived damaged or defective. Live plant damage claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery so they can be reviewed under our Grow Happyâ„¢ Healthy Arrival Guarantee.

The fastest way to ensure you receive the correct item is to return any eligible non-plant product and place a new order once the return is accepted.
Refunds are generally only available for orders cancelled prior to shipment. Once shipped, live plant orders are not refundable. Depending on fulfillment status, cancelled orders may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 30%.
Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post a refund after it has been issued.
