Gardeners looking for big impact have found it in the rich, luscious blooms of Dark Lavender CHIFFON® from Proven Winners®. These fluffy double flowers appear for the entire summer and are supported beautifully on an elegant vase shaped habit.

The flower color is a richer, darker lavender than previous generations of Lavender CHIFFON® Rose of Sharon.

Deer resistant. 

Great for pollinators. 

Is able to tolerate both Black Walnut and clay soil. 

Heat tolerant. 

Rose of Sharon Care

Provide full sun. Too little light will cause growth issues. 

Rose of Sharon is a heavy feeder! Fertilization is suggested, especially if soil is poor. Our slow release fertilizer is a great option. 

Pale green foliage indicates the need for increased nitrogen.

Trim to shape frequently to avoid cutting into thick, woody stems, as doing so will result in a slow recovery.

Allow 8-10 weeks after last trim for flower buds to form, as flowers form on new wood only.  

It's best to prune in late fall. 

Water regularly after planting prior to establishment. Attempt to keep soil lightly moist, but not wet. It's suggested to place 2"-3" of mulch under this plant to help retain a light degree of ground moisture.
