Care
Orange Quince Care
Provide full sun. Too little light will cause growth issues.
Fertilization is suggested, especially if soil is poor. Our slow release fertilizer is a great option.
Prune 2-3 times after established to encourage a dense, well branched and full-bodied plant; avoid cutting into thick stems. It's suggested to prune after spring flowering cycle, but not later than July.
Blooms on old wood only, typically after 1 year of wood formation; however, the heaviest bud set is on two-year-old wood, so avoid cutting into the oldest parts of the plant.
Water regularly, especially after planting prior to establishment. Attempt to keep soil lightly moist, but not wet. It's suggested to place 2"-3" of mulch under this plant to help retain a light degree of ground moisture.
