Spiraea prunifolia—commonly referred to as Bridal Wreath Spirea—is celebrated for its elegant, fountain-like growth habit and breathtaking clusters of white flowers that resemble a bride's wreath. This deciduous shrub transitions beautifully into autumn with leaves turning vibrant shades of yellow, orange, and red. An ideal choice for hedges, borders, or as a stand-alone specimen in the garden.

Bridal Wreath Spirea Care

Ensure it receives full sun to partial shade for optimal growth and flowering.

Pruning should be done to maintain shape and promote denser growth. It is recommended to prune immediately after flowering since it blooms on old wood. Pruning late in the season can remove next year's buds.

Water consistently during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Watering can be reduced once established, except during extreme drought.

Fertilizations will accelerate growth, promote flowering, and keep your Bridal Wreath Spirea well fed. We suggest using our slow release fertilizer, or something similar such as a suitable fertilizer stake.
