Benary's Giant Zinnias are considered by many to be the most premium zinnia in existence!

Profuse flowering is normal! Blooms seem to come back over and over, even after they're harvested for floral arrangements!

Recommended by the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers for their vigorous growth habits, uniformity, production capacity, and carefree cultivation across a range of growing zones and conditions!

Flowers feature a bright, golden yellow center when fully opened!

Giant Zinnias are known to attract various pollinators such as bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies!

Perfect for a variety of areas, especially rock gardens, mid-borders, patios, and mixed containers.

Care

Giant Zinnia Care

Zinnia elegans does best in full sun.

Plant after the last spring frost, ideally when temperatures are above 50°F.

Giant Zinnia requires soil that is moist, but not wet. Irrigate during establishment, and during periods of drought. Do not allow this plant's soil to completely dry! Avoid overhead watering to mitigate the risk of powdery mildew.

Fertilize as required, especially if planted in poor soil.

Does best in temperatures between 60°F and 95°F.

Protect against strong winds, especially if flowering!

Although unnecessary, the deadheading of spent flowers will encourage blooming, and help to ensure a tidy plant.

All the plants I purchased are dying. Justin did reach out, however, and worked with me to appropriately address my issues. I appreciate the good customer service (and I did purchase similar plants previously and they thrived throughout a Maine summer!)

That said, we do want to share some context. Your plants arrived in mid-May, and your review came a few weeks later. Zinnias are fast-growing annuals that can decline—or bounce back—quickly depending on how they’re cared for during those first critical weeks. We ship only healthy, well-rooted plants, and every order is inspected before leaving our greenhouse.

If all of the plants are struggling, that typically points to environmental stress, such as over- or under-watering, transplant shock, or soil conditions. Annuals like zinnias often require a bit more attention than perennials, especially early on.

We’re always happy to help troubleshoot, but we do believe this review doesn’t reflect the full story. If you’re open to it, we’d love the chance to offer care tips and get things back on track.

These are really giant zinnias!

Big beautiful plants that transplanted beautifully and budded out right away. Plants were so healthy on arrival and all stood about 10-12 inches tall. Very pleased with these zinnias. The one that was blooming on arrival had a two inch flower. Looking forward to seeing these all blooming at once!
