Discover the unique beauty of the Curly Spider Plant 'Bonnie'! Its tightly curled leaves, vibrant green hue, ease of care, compact growth habit, and air-purifying benefits come together to make it an ideal companion to any home.

It gets its name from the small, spider-like trailing plants that it produces in order to reproduce and spread. They dangle off mother plants, and mildly resemble spiders on a web. These spider-like plants are known as spiderettes, and are typically formed during periods of short days and long nights.

This particular culitivar, 'Bonnie', is known for its semi-compact growth habit and unique, attractive curly leaves.

Spider Plant is particularly effective at air purification. It's known to remove dangerous toxins such as carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, xylene, benzene, and other VOCs.

Great for hanging baskets!

Drought tolerant.

Curly Spider Plant Care

Thrives in bright indirect sun and partially shaded areas. Avoid exposure to full, strong sun as it may cause leaf burn.

Chlorophytum comosum 'Bonnie' may be grown as an outdoor plant in tropical zones 9 - 11.

Prefers soil full of rich, organic compounds. Avoid soil with poor drainage as root rot may likely occur if planted in such.

Attempt to keep soil slightly moist but not wet between spring and fall. Water less over winter.

This plant does best in moderate temperatures between 60°F and 85°F. Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures below 50°F.

We suggest fertilizing from spring through fall. Our slow release fertilizer is a great option. Apply fertilizer at 1/2 strength and do not overfertilize.

Does best when slightly rootbound.

A VERY LUCKY CUSTOMER

I am a plant NUT! Garden outback, indoor plants, plant beds outside…. I’ve NEVER, absolutely NEVER ordered a plant online (and I order alot) that dropped my jaw when I unpackaged it! Truly an unbelievable company. The care is evident and the health and time it took to nurture their plants is overwhelmingly impressive!!!!!
I have placed many orders since my first experience and I will FOREVER be a customer that feels so special and lucky to have found this company!

We're lucky to have you too, Kristen! 😊 Thanks for your business and awesome review!
