Tahitian Bridal Veil is also known for its long bloom season and ease of care. Its small white flowers look especially striking in contrast to its deep-green and purple foliage.

Care

Tahitian Bridal Veil Care

Thrives in bright indirect sun and partially shaded areas. Avoid exposure to full, strong sun as it may cause leaf burn.

Gibasis pellucida may be grown as an outdoor plant in tropical zones 10 and 11. Use caution, as it's potentially invasive.

Prefers soil full of rich, organic compounds. Avoid soil with poor drainage as root rot may likely occur if planted in such.

Attempt to keep soil slightly moist but not wet between spring and fall. Water less over winter.

This plant does best in moderate temperatures between 60°F and 85°F. Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures below 50°F.

We suggest fertilizing from spring through fall. Our slow release fertilizer is a great option.

Yellowed and many dead and dying leaves

I’ve ordered from this store before without a problem but this time the order took almost 2 months to receive and when my plants arrived many of the were damaged and yellowing which I had to cut off and back. Not very happy with this order

Just to clarify, your order was placed on April 23 as part of our Mid to Late Spring 2025 pre-order collection. These baskets were scheduled to ship once weather conditions were safe for planting in your area, and they were delivered on May 15—right within the expected shipping window. Transit time was fast, so it’s unclear what might have caused the yellowing during the short time in transit.

After you initially contacted us and prior to leaving your review, we asked if you could send us photos so we could better understand the issue and try to make it right. Unfortunately, we never received any images, which limited our ability to help. We’re still happy to work with you if the plants haven’t improved—please reach out if you’re open to continuing the conversation.
