Let’s Dance Can Do!™ from Proven Winners® puts out starry double flowers from summer ‘til frost, and at a faster rate than other hydrangeas like it. Flower color is bright silvery pink or periwinkle violet, depending on the soil.
Soft pink flowers change to periwinkle with addition of aluminum sulfate.
Extra-large florets give it a mophead look.
Both a Bigleaf Hydrangea and a Mountain Hydrangea.
Disease resistant.
Provide full or partial sun. Too little light will cause growth issues. Best flower set, size, and stem strength occurs with a minimum of 6 hours of sun daily.
Fertilization is suggested, especially if soil is poor. Our slow release fertilizer is a great option.
Trim lightly to shape as many times as possible until late July. Pruning or trimming after this will interfere with bud set for the following season. Dormant or spring pruning will also remove flower buds, though rebloom will still occur later.
Initial bloom will be on previous year’s growth; rebloom occurs on new wood approximately 10-12 weeks later.
Water regularly after planting prior to establishment. Attempt to keep soil moist, but not wet. It's suggested to place 2"-3" of mulch under this plant to help retain ground moisture.
The Let’s Dance Can Do!™ Bigleaf Hydrangea that we sell online will ship in a greenhouse grade grow pot. Each plant will be appropriately sized for its pot. Please contact us with any specific questions.
Let’s Dance Can Do!™ Bigleaf Hydrangea will reach mature heights of 3' - 4' and mature widths of 3'.
Its botanical name is Hydrangea serrata ‘SMNHSI’.
